NEMO piano: honorable mention in the ADI Design Index Compasso D’Oro Award

Nemo is an upright piano and at the same time a state of mind.

Of all musical instruments, the piano is perhaps the one that generates one of the strongest physical and environmental relationships with the musician. Playing the piano is often a journey, like standing on the bow of a ship or guiding a spaceship.
Nemo is the product of these evocations, born out of a desire to generate a new intensity of musical experience.

The presence of the curved front allows for an enveloping, unprecedented, and powerful sound distribution and diffusion. The curve is there to welcome the musician into an embrace, drawing him or her into the intimacy of the piano.
The porthole, a reference to the experience of travelling, allows a glimpse inside the instrument, into the fascinating and mysterious world of the mechanics that generate the sound.
Each of Nemo's keys is coated in FENIX NTM®, a material that is pleasant to the touch, resistant to fingerprints, extremely opaque, and thermally repairable in the case of surface micro-scratches.
